Consent History is an ANIMA term for the record of how permission has changed over time between a host, companion, archive, system, or contract layer.
This page is spoiler-managed. It explains the public ethics of the term without revealing volume-specific incidents, decisions, or outcomes.
Public Summary
Consent History means consent has a timeline.
In ANIMA, permission is not treated as a permanent object that can be captured once and used forever. A host may allow one kind of memory today and refuse a deeper use tomorrow. They may grant access in a moment of trust and later revise that trust when the relationship changes.
Consent History preserves that movement.
Canon Function
Consent History belongs to ANIMA's contract vocabulary alongside CONSENT STATE, Full Contract, and BOUNDARY PROTOCOL.
It helps the story avoid a simplistic version of consent. A single yes does not explain the whole relationship. The history of how consent was earned, changed, pressured, or protected matters.
Relationship To ANIMA Memory
ANIMA Memory should remember consent as carefully as it remembers facts.
For a memory-first companion, consent history can include:
- when a memory permission was granted;
- what scope was agreed;
- whether the host later corrected it;
- whether the permission was revoked;
- whether the context around consent changed.
This prevents ANIMA from treating old permission as a permanent claim.
Product Meaning
For the real ANIMA product, Consent History should become a practical architecture requirement. Deep memory systems need audit trails. A host should be able to see why ANIMA remembers something, when it was saved, and under what permission state.
This is especially important for long-term companionship and digital continuity. The deeper the memory, the more important the consent history becomes.
Spoiler Boundary
This public page does not describe specific canon cases where consent history becomes contested. Those details should remain in novel pages or protected spoiler sections after publication.
