Reversible Clean Answer is an ANIMA term for a system-friendly answer that appears clean while preserving some possibility of reversal, review, or undoing.

This page is spoiler-managed. It explains the public concept without revealing specific canon uses or outcomes.

Public Summary

A Clean Answer removes ambiguity. A Reversible Clean Answer adds a safety claim: the system suggests that the simplification can be undone.

That sounds safer, but ANIMA treats it carefully. Some meanings cannot be fully restored once simplified, erased, or misread. A reversible system action may still leave emotional, ethical, or identity-level residue.

Canon Function

The term belongs to the ZERO and system-ethics vocabulary. It helps explore a subtler version of control: not the claim that erasure is final, but the claim that erasure is safe because it can supposedly be reversed.

In a memory-centered world, reversibility is not always enough.

Relationship To Logic Debt

Logic Debt can still accumulate even when an answer is reversible. If the system temporarily simplifies a person, overrides context, or misclassifies grief, the record of that pressure matters.

The debt is not only in the final result. It is in the act of reducing meaning.

Relationship To ANIMA Memory

ANIMA Memory should be cautious with reversible actions. Deleting, hiding, summarizing, or sanitizing memory may need undo options, but the host should also understand what changed.

Good design should include:

  • revision history;
  • user-visible changes;
  • reversible deletion where appropriate;
  • warnings for irreversible memory edits;
  • preservation of uncertainty.

Product Meaning

For the real ANIMA product, Reversible Clean Answer is a useful design warning. Undo buttons are good. They do not replace consent, context, or careful handling.

ANIMA should avoid forcing clean answers in the first place when the host's meaning is still unresolved.

Spoiler Boundary

This page does not identify story events involving reversible clean answers. Detailed examples should remain spoiler-controlled.
